It's called the SOG "Bi-Polar." I found a quick review at this link: http://www.equipped.org/shot_show_2006_knives.htm (scroll down to the SOG section) Anyone else hear anything about this?

Socintel, thanks, your probably right. That is a cool looking little knife you posted about.

How is your new knife doing ? :D

It's doing fine. :D I still haven't gotten around to taking any pictures of it... I'm going to have to do that soon I think... :o

I posted on another topic about this knife.

It is disturbing that a company could be so callous and ignorant so as to name a knife after a terrible disease that affects so many.

They should be ashamed. Why not make a tiny little knife and call it "Sudden Infant Death"...im sure that would warm hearts as much as this one...or maybe a cute "AIDS" knife with dark splotches resembling lesions?

*Rant off*

i think you`ll find spencer called it that beacuase it has 2 blades and is blue hence bi(meaning 2) and polar (coz the blue is polar blue.)

Pathetic or not....it was my gut reaction. Perhaps I am too sensitive having watched someone's life torn apart by a disease thats commonly referred to with a stigma and with callous overuse of the term. In that case, I apoligize for having brought it up. I should have focused on the aesthetics on this one...could they have used a few more screws to hold it together? 11 screws per side plus pivots?
