Hello everyone
A couple of years ago I made a picture sequence for an integral chef knife that was commissioned.
I rarely see a forging sequence of an integral blade in here so I decided to show it, this is the way I have found works best for me... It might be interesting for some to see.

Thank you for posting this. It actually explained something I've wondered about.

I have run through this in my head many times, trying to figure out what sequence would work. Thank you so much.

Very cool I make a lot of these and do things just a bit different there are some parts very close to how I do it and I did learn one new trick from this thank you if I have time I will do a short WIP on my way of getting to the same place. I love your side mount post vice

You are welcome guys!

I will show some of the rest

(note: Im not really a fan of that blade shape, but when it comes to chef knives I like to do exactly what the client wants... I figure that eveything is there for a reason)

Thanks David.
I would love to see you working method too!

So Manuel, you do a standard plunge first to get the grind where you want it, and then clean up the bolster afterward?

That came out insanely clean! Thanks for sharing.

Exactly, with a fresh coarse belt you can clean that bolster in just a couple of passes.

Wow, that turned out clean!

The customer should be tickled pink with how that turned out.

Thanks to all.
I enjoy sharing my methods, I have learn SO MUCH in this forum that I want to give back little tips that could help others.
