International Purchase Question?

I have a question for the more experienced Hogs out there.

I am looking at purchasing a Busse from Canada and shipping to the US and insist on insurance due to past problems.

My question is: Will I get charged duty tax on the insured value of the knife or will I not be affected by any import fees?

The price of the knife is such that if I have to pay some sort of import fee or tax it will become overpriced for what it is.

All your help is appreciated.

I've probably done about 10 or so Kannuck deals over the years and have never been charged any extra Govt. import fees.
 
I've done a few deals with Canadians over the years. Never taxed.

I made the purchase with confidence and cannot wait for another Busse to arrive.
