Moderators, if this properly belongs in TG,TB,&TU, I defer to your wisdom in locking/moving, but would like this to get maximum exposure.
Please see the Gurkha House Forum thread A Thief Among Us. It appears that a hacker, with some connection to Garden Grove, CA, is targeting knife knuts for computer fraud credit card ripoffs. I have contacted the Major Frauds Investigation Unit of the Garden Grove P.D, and would be interested in hearing from anyone who has been similarly victimized by credit card theft with a Garden Grove connection.

Berkley,

I for one thank you as I most likely would have missed Criag's thread had you not posted here. You might find my comments over there interesting, although I'm certainly not sure of the legal implications if Craig were to act on my suggestion.

As an aside, I've been telecommunicating since the days of acoustic coupled modems and have been using e-commerce to make purchases for several years. The only time I got ripped off was buying a used tonearm for a turntable from a cretin in Garden Grove, CA who listed his ad on AudiogoN. It was total junk, well beyond repair, and unquestionable not in the condition advertised. Is there something in the water there? Geez!
