Did 3 more days in an inflatable kayak down the Snake River on Hells Canyon. The water was running just about perfect, we had long wavetrains of 20 foot swells. I was in a goretex drysuit as the temp went from 35 degrees up to about 55 outside (water was much warmer than the air) Hands and lips are dry and cracking but for the most part it was a damned good trip. My camera croaked the night before due to sand in the servos that run the lens, so I have to pull 300 dollars out of my ass for a new camera somehow, but man was it a sweet trip. I think I'm addicted to this whitewater stuff now... I've seen country one could never see on foot and I don't have to kill my shot hips to do so. We saw lots of whitetail deer, mountain goats on 2-3 different occasions, a momma bear and cub, and a smaller cat (100-120 pounds I'd say) The steelhead are running and those that were fishing off their rafts reeled something in every cast. I'm at the library now because my internet has crapped out for some reason, no idea how long it will take to get back up. Grrr frustrating. Til then I'll be chillin here in Idaho!

Jeff must have really liked it, he posted twice. :p

Nice trip, sucks about the internet and glad to see you back.

Sounds like a fun time!

I bought a camera just for things like the beach, pool, 4-wheeling... I was able to pick up the Sanyo Xacti waterproof video camera. I love it. Was able to take some awesome video and pictures at Great Wolf Lodge and at the beach... just rinse it off when done and dry with a towel. Check it out here.... http://www.amazon.com/Sanyo-VPC-E1-Waterproof-Camcorder-Optical/dp/B000QSNQ9S

Landlord has a waterproof video camera actually, I'll wear it next spring, no more trips this late in the year. Man, I need a job. I've really been working on my photography skills lately, and it gives me an excuse to get outside when my hips are hurting. its amazing what you can do with a decent point and shoot. I actually borrowed someone's camera nad took a few shots, but I need to figure out what the deal is with my home internet before I can upload them. I don't think I can do it from the library.
