I dont need one but my sister does ! She dont have much money so I thought if someone could tell me of a deal where I could get a few months for free for signing up or something thats just cheap but still good enough to use for dial up ,, I could get it for her ... Not aol thou ...

i'm using sbc dialup and after a few initial problems it's working pretty good. one caution if she has a dell she won't be able to use the sbc software she'll have to configure the connection manually. It's pretty simple with the provided instructions. price is $9 a month unlimited. later,ahgar
 
I hooked my Mom up with Netscape for $10 a month with virus protection from McAfee, dual speed (image compression) and a few other perks on some promotion they had.

She thought AOL was the best thing going until I got her to log on to Netscape. She then commented how much faster it was and that really was pretty easy to use. And at $10 a month, it was s third the price of AOL! :eek:

The Netscape ISP doesn't have usenet news but, that is easy enough to get from google and other sources for free if you are interested.

If you don't need the unlimited use portion of Netscape, I think their 20 hour a month plan is ~$7 a month.
