internet sales and spyderco warranty

Has anyone used Discount Knives or Knife Outlet for their Spyderco purchase? How was customer service, delivery time, and quality of product when received throught discount internet retailer? How does this affect Spyderco Warranty if purchased over internet?
Any other internet sources for a Spyderco C52PBK (Calypso, Jr. Lightweight)?

I bought my Calypso Jr Ltwt from Knife Outlet. Fast service, good price, etc. Warranty work should be no different whether you buy from B&M store or internet. You will get a receipt either way. Search the Good Bad & Ugly forum for info on all of the internet dealers.

I ordered a Toad and a Sharpmaker from Discount Knives, just a week ago. Great e-mail correspondance, fast service (received my order in four business days), and the prices are wonderful. I'm pretty sure I'm going to order a cricket from them very soon.

I don't believe any of the problems that have been reported with Discount Knives have had much, if anything, to do with the brand of knife purchased.

Many people have had good luck. Essentially, from what I have read, if he has what you are ordering in stock, everything will go quickly and smoothly. If something is backordered, or somehow a mistake is made on which knife is shipped, or if there is something wrong with the knife, then problems can get severe and very frustrating.

As was suggested check out G, B, &U. You'll find quite a bit on Discount Knives. Then you'll have to decide whether teh few bucks saved have been worth it.

You also might want to check out Bayou LaFourche. Doesn't have the widest selection, but is usually near the bottom in price. Always fast delivery, great service. One of my favorites.

Also, shootist16, Dennis Bible, is selling knives. You might want to give him a holler. He too has good prices and great service.

Ended up ordering the calypso jr. light and sharpmaker from Bayou Lafourche Knife Workshttp://www.knifeworks.com/.

I was originally going to order the BM 735 from Discount Knives - but they said they could not guarantee that I'd get the latest edition of that knife because the wharehouse could not differentiate different versions. I called Knife outlet regarding the Calypso Jr. lightweight and sharpmaker, but I didn't think the salesman there was particularly helpful and kinda rude.

The folks at Bayou Lafourche were nice AND helpful. Will post another update when I get my knife next week
