I posted this on the Spyderco Forum and thought I'd post it here too. What do you guys think?

Sorry if this vid was posted previously and I missed it. I saw most of the other Shot Show vids but hadn't seen this one yet. I found it interesting and thought some folks here might as well. I especially found it interesting when Eric said in the beginning that the knife he previously had on him was the small Native that is now over in the prototype case. Do you think he was actually referring to the smaller PM2 or is there really a new smaller Native in the works? Kind of hard for me to believe that they would make a smaller Native but anything's possible I guess.

I'm just going to say thanks for posting an excellent video.

My opinion is that it should be stickied as a requirement to watch before posting here. It definitely shuts the door on some of the purse fights that flare up.

Thanks for sharing. Not sure how my Native 5 could get smaller. A slimmer design perhaps?

I haven't kept up with Spyderco products as of late, but this interview shed light on areas that are normally overlooked or never touched upon. It was great to hear some of the things that were said and the idea of transparency is great. I do wish that all of their products could be made here in America, but few things are anymore. Perhaps one day. Great work!

This was a great interview. However, if there really was "transparency" as was claimed, we'd have seen a pic of the PM3 prototype someplace by now. [emoji57]

"high performance matter separation"

Sal, can I steal this for my sig line? Nice video.

"Caribbean Kayaker" in LC200N?

52100 will make for one happy ME this year...or next...!

52100 Mili is coming soon

I'm not sure if my signature comes through on Tapatalk, but it's a Sal quote. I just sent him a PM asking if he minded and he said no problem.

My guess on the Caribbean is some Titanium might be involved. H1 and Ti don't get used together and H1 only gets lockbacks. The Tusk design is 20+ years old and the wait was on a steel corrosion resistant enough that worked with the Ti R.I.L. and Ball Bearing Lock. Lance really liked LC200n and this next knife might just have him in mind[emoji6]

It's probably still in development so under photo embargo.

Otherwise what happens is they let pictures of the tester leak and then when when the production is released there's a whole bunch of complaints that it's changed; "we're not buying that it's not grey or blue or whatever".

Wow, what a couple of great guys. No wonder I like their products so much.

Yeah, I know. I just had to dig on that particular bit. It's all in good fun.

Thanks for sharing that video. I'm not sure what it is about Sal but I could listen to him all day long!
