I just got these two great pistols the other day, one from my grandfather and one from my father-in-law. They are a a little on the small side and I'm not convinced of their stopping power but I think they might scare the pants off someone, maybe the cat.
I love old toys and they certainly don't make them like they used to. My grandfather has a working toy cannon from god-knows-when. Sure beats the crappy plastic stuff I had when I was a kid. The first one I posted is a simple cap gun but the second has a shell with a contained spring. From what I can tell, you loaded the shell with a wooden or plastic pellet and when the hammer struck the back of the shell, the force would shoot the pellet free. It might have used a cap too, I dunno. I wish I knew more about these and I think collecting them might make for a neat hobby. Just thought I'd share something cool!
