Into the Mountains

Well I'm off to the Mountains for an all summer rafting job. Ill be camping the whole time, and will finally get to really use the equipment i've collected over the years.

My knives ill be bringing :

Benchmade mini grip D2 (EDC)

Spyderco Salt1 (rafting)

RAT-3 (camp chores)

SAK (cause it's handy)

Wish me luck. Ill be back in a few months.:thumbup:

Oh, and if you are in Buena Vista CO. You should go rafting with AAE.
Maybe ill be your guide and we can talk knives

Sounds like an awesome way to spend the summer (and it is a great place for rafting).

One knife question: Aren't you going to bring anything bigger?
 
dont forget KNIFE SHARPENER! I dont see one on the list lol! I did that one summer, here on the east coast. Its a great experience as long as the clients are cool. What experience do you have...?

I thought about bringing my RAT-7, but my pack is so full and i already have a camp axe.:D

I've probably had 50-70 hours of rafting with a guide. Buy my training will probably take a couple weeks and i'll have close to 100 hours of just training
 
Great....what rivers have you done? I have done the Cheat, the New, the Gulley the Salmon(Butler to oak bottom) the upper, middle and lower youghiogheney, Colorado(Royal Gorge), Arkansas, Lehi, Pine, Shenandoah just to name a few. I LOVE rafting and kayaking, I hope you have LOTS of fun...I hope you dont have to pull anyone out.
