Hello All,

I've never posted here much, but I'm looking into getting my first true custom bushcraft knife, and I've decided that as soon as I achieve the promotion I've been waiting for the last year, I'm going to pull the trigger on the first Bushfinger that calls my name on Fiddleback Fridays. I've been a long time owner of a custom EDC knife, a Murray Carter necker, and that is the best knife I'ver ever owned. Nothing compares a custom knife when it comes to fit, finish, and quality.

Andy, I woke up in the middle of the night last night sweating when I thought of this. I know you don't take custom orders, but I want to share my vision with you in case it would be something you'd ever do... Imagine your original Bushfinger with the natural canvas micarta and black micarta bolsters. Now, instead of the black micarta bolsters, imagine if that was replaced with the epoxy twine that Rick Marchand uses. That would be the coolest thing I've ever seen!
I'm happy to be into the web of the fiddleback.

Bushfingers are sweet. I had a hunter at first (which was very nice btw) but I sold it because the BF was a better fit for me. I have used it for all kinds of tasks. This deer season, it's coming along too! Here's a few pics, sorry if you've already seen em.

Show off... ;) I'm intrigued by the reports of an 1/8th " thick bushfinger being spotted in this forum... I use an axe or hatchet for most of the heavy stuff, so one of those babies might be right up my alley. Has anyone used any of those for bushcraft type tasks that cares to throw in their two cents?

I have a brand new 1/8" beauty that I will use this weekend and post pics.

Show off... ;)

No no no.

There is no showing off here. Believe me. I am no knife 'expert'. My intention was to just show you (in a small way) how the BF does many different tasks well. As far as I'm concerned, I've not even got her broke in yet. I honestly, have always believed that an 1/8" blade would excel at most cutting jobs. But after having a saber ground 5/32" from Andy,....... Well I'm a believer.

Thanks for posting. What is with folks wanting the 1/8" Bushfingers lately?

Murray Carter huh? No pressure or anything....
