How To Intricate Shapes for Damascus

I’ve peoples like Steve Schwarzer or other people online do canisters with intricate shapes cut and used in canisters or other Damascus projects. I can’t find any information on how it’s done. What machine do they use to cut these shapes? See picture for example. Thank you

This would be done using an EDM process - it even says so in the video description

The blanks are cut on an electroerosive machine
