Texas jack? That's what I'd carry if I were carrying a production slip joint. Also, welcome to the Traditional forum.

Welcome rb2 :)
I bet you could find your 340YT on the bay, carbon steel old timers are still plentiful.

Welcome to the forum. I'd take a look at all the offerings from Great Eastern. They're a little more money than Case, but they're really well-made, solid knives. Most all are 1095 carbon. Really nicely made, and made in Pennsylvania. Sweet!

Find yourself a Moore Maker 3300. Not a 3300B, mind you. The B is the current production model, made by Bear and Sons, and is of (reputedly) low quality. The old 3300 was made by Camillus and is a great knife. However, Camillus went out of business in 2007, so finding a Camillus made one might be tricky. There is/was a guy on ebay that sold them, but I haven't seen him listing them in a while, so I assume they've sold out. But it's always worth keeping an eye out. Here's a picture of mine to compare to the Bear & Sons made one, so you know what you're getting.

The 3300 by Camillus is practically identical in size to the Schrade 34OT.

Boker Tree Brand has some nice yellow Stockman knives, with bigger beefier clip blades like you want. Their Classic Stockman 7474YB might be what you are looking for.

For a current production model, look for the Boker Plus Stockman, also available in yellow.

I don't have any experience with either product.

Well, for a working stockman, I think that the GEC's are tough to beat! But they might be a bit bigger.

At one time, I did not like the narrow turkish clips, but it use they shine.

The Northfield Cattle Barron has a great sized fat clip point with a punch! It is a 4+ incher so might be too big for you, but sure looks fantastic!

There are also cattle knives from GEC/Northfield/Tideoute that have three blades, including a wide clip.
