Hello gents,
Due to the excellent information contained in this little corner of the internet, I have placed an order for my very first Becker, the Ka-Bar Campanion. Actually, this will be one of the first fixed blades purchased in quite a long time, the previous ones being a pair of John Schulps customs from back in the late 1990's.
Ordinarily I carry a Spyderco, but have recently gotten into Case pocketknives as well. Current favorite Case is an amber bone scale CV medium stockman. But I digress...
Looking forward to taking the BK2 out camping, and in the meanwhile keeping it in my emergency kit in the car. Looks like a real tank of a knife, but maybe some micarta handles would spruce it up a bit. Have to do some testing once it gets here as far as grip is concerned...
Just wanted to say thanks for helping guide another blade fan to a new way of spending $$$. This new acquisition disorder can go along with my safety razor AD, various shave soap AD's and various pocket folder AD's.
Thanks for your time and information
