Hello gents,

Due to the excellent information contained in this little corner of the internet, I have placed an order for my very first Becker, the Ka-Bar Campanion. Actually, this will be one of the first fixed blades purchased in quite a long time, the previous ones being a pair of John Schulps customs from back in the late 1990's.
Ordinarily I carry a Spyderco, but have recently gotten into Case pocketknives as well. Current favorite Case is an amber bone scale CV medium stockman. But I digress...
Looking forward to taking the BK2 out camping, and in the meanwhile keeping it in my emergency kit in the car. Looks like a real tank of a knife, but maybe some micarta handles would spruce it up a bit. Have to do some testing once it gets here as far as grip is concerned...

Just wanted to say thanks for helping guide another blade fan to a new way of spending $$$. This new acquisition disorder can go along with my safety razor AD, various shave soap AD's and various pocket folder AD's.

Thanks for your time and information

Welcome to the Becker forums, and Bladeforums, glad you're here. Thanks for posting up with us.

You picked a good one right out the gate, love my BK2. She's a solid, dependable knife, that will NOT let you down. In the truck or on the hip, performance is the same. Look forward to seeing your pics.

I got a Case CV Stockman, a buddy gave me years ago, love it. I don't carry it much anymore, its just not one hand operational, and when I'm standing on a ladder, 12' up above a ceiling, I need a one handed knife. It does go out to "formal" functions with me alot, gala events, grand openings, and CEO meetings. Love those knives.

Once again welcome, and stick around, we are glad you're here.

I know you have the Beckerheads here, but I'm starting to think you need a sub-group: The Cult of the Campanion.

Welcome! What part of SoCal are you from? I'm just East of Pasadena.

Enjoy the BK2!

Congrats on your new blade.

Give the stock handles a try. They're not too bad. Least I think so. I mod mine up because I'm a little ADHD ... Get bored and swap back to the stock ones, make some new ones, swap back, 550 it, stock, mod, 550, ... MAKE IT STOP ! (lol)

Again congrats.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm deep in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, near Reseda.

Sure am looking forward to next week's mail delivery :)

BTW, Moose: That's a great patina on your Case. Looks well used and loved.
