Just thought I would officially announce the joint side venture between me and Phil (VANCE). Some of you have seen a few pics of Phil"s mini axe, the BAT'L Axe. We have decided to go in together and start this side project and the first model is this little axe. This will be a low volume venture and we have been bouncing around all sorts of cool ideas. These will be made completely by Phil and myself at this point. The listings will be posted here in my forum and thru instagram, @wasknives and @vancedomino. Typically, ones available will be listed in my weekly "W.A. Surls Wednesday" sale thread, but can randomly appear as a separate thread. We are very excited to see where this goes! Here are a few pics.

I really, really want one of these! They're simply awesome! Looking forward to seeing more of them for certain. :thumbup:

But there are questions of course :D

Ballpark price?
Is it a $100 up-price for bog oak?
Will there be holes for a min-lanyard or key ring?
Will it come with a kydex protector/sheath?
Can it double as a bottle opener?
In what states are they illegal? (just kidding on this one but I'm sure NJ is on the list, unless you're hunting of course)

Just realized I never offered a formal congratulations to two gentlemen I am lucky and honored enough to call friends. Best of luck on the new venture and very much looking forward to what's to come.
