Hi
I'm now here since 4 years and I like to introduce myself with some examples of my work. I have no hp, so I hope it will be ok to link some pictures from a german forum. If not please just delete my post.
I have started nearly 25 years ago with a first knifekit as many others, now after all this years I forge my blades and make my own damascus too. Since this summer I'm member of the german knifemaker guild. I prefer absolutly carbon steels and gripmaterial like bone, stag, and fossil material.
Lets go to the main things....knives
A typical size for my small using knives like the following( german laws are unbelivable ) is 7 inch overall with a bladethickness of 0,08 inch. Bladesteel is 1.2442 a german special knifesteel with 1,15%carbon and 2 % tungsten. Fullgrip of mammouthivory, I like to rivet the tang with an endcap.

Typical 7 inch knife with stellers seacow and wrought ironspacer

And this example with water buffalo

But I like, no I love to make bigger knives like this 15 inch fighter with bamboo-micarta

A 15 inch damascus fighter with sanmai blade. For the bigger knives I make hollow spacers, surrounding the grip, here made of wrought iron

Hope the links will work
Best regards Thomas
