Hi, I am Hawkeye5 I think that this is my first post in the Becker forum. I have like knives all my life.Like to hunt and fish

and Ride motorcycles. I came here because I keep seeing post where people have Becker Knives. I don't have a Becker

yet . But I do have a birthday in November and am thinking about getting one for that. I am undecided on which Becker to get first.

Thinking on the Becker 14 or 11. But am looking at all the BK 2 's that you guys have .So anyway There it is ,and I'll be

reading your post.

Jeff

Hey Hawkeye5,
Glad to have you hear. Sit back, relax, and enjoy. There's a lot of good people here with a TON of information and knowledge about this brand of knife. Around here, it seems like a lifestyle !
Seems like from your picture, you are a hunter. As such, I would suggest going with the BK-14 as this will be a perfect hunting knife for you. the BK-2 is a great knife but not designed to process meat. It's a 1/4" thick of pure heaven. If you are looking to process wood however, MUCH different story. You can't go wrong with any of the Beckers, but each have a different purpose.

Sheesh guys, I'll get it,

Welcome to Bladeforums and the Becker forum!!! Glad you stopped in!!

Go with the BK2, its called the Campanion for a reason, its the one you want with you. I love mine, and haven't found another knife that can do what it can do, on all fronts.

Once again, welcome, and I look forward to seeing some of your posts.

Moose

There

Welcome! All of the blades you listed are excellent. The Bk2 and a necker make an excellent pair.

Thanks for the welcomes guys. I will post pic's when I get my first Becker.

Welcome to our little slice of the insanity! I would suggest a BK2 coupled with a BK11 or BK14. Works quite nicely.

I got my 11 first, then my 2 then a 9 and lastly (for the moment) a 14. There are no wrong choices. Just used my BK11 to cut up dinner. :D

Welcome Hawkeye, glad to have you around.

You can't really beat the BK14 for an overall great starter BKT. Its good blend of Ethan blade, and Jeff handle. Its been with me since I got it, and it still catches hell daily.

Once again, glad to see you around, I'm sure with the up and coming season only a couple of weeks away, you'll have some inert carcasses to share. :D I hope I do.

Thanks Moose, I have been known to post bloody animals and knife pic over on another forum.
Thanks for the advice.
