Hello,
in the german forum bladecommunity a friend recently presented his new Nickers, made by the young profesional smith Andreas Holzer from austria.
Andreas not only makes this traditional style Nickers, but amazing Loveless knives as well (just saw a few weeks ago an impressive subhilt).

But here, I want to show these stunning, traditional Nickers, drop forged with vintage drop forge moulds, as they are used since generations in austria.
These are forged from Böhler N690Co, handfinished, AAA+ Sambar

Steel N690Co
Total length: 22 cm
Blade: 10 cm - 9cm sharpened
Weight with sheath: 194 gr.
Weight knife: 173 gr.

Here the pics, first the mirrow polished Nicker, later the "brut de forge" one.

Here his website http://www.holzer-messer.at.tf/

Kind regards

Hello!

Interesting showing! I happen to be an Austrian, one that used to be a lot into Nickers. I am usually pretty partial to Stefan Gobec and Richard Kappeller as well as to a few local makers that have no web presence for my nickers, but these knives seem like they are worth another look as well!

Thanks for sharing.

Best,
Alex
