Howdy,
I have been lurking here the last couple of months. I have enjoyed the threads showing unique customization's. I received my first Becker a BK-2 on Monday. I am interested in making wood handle slabs and a sheath, but I havent figured out exactly what yet.

I currently live in southwest Florida. I own and operate a landscape maintenance and design company. My daily use knives range from a Spyderco serrated hawkbill to a machete with a few in between. While knives are tools for me first I am an active collector of pocket knives, in particular gunstock pattern slip joints. I spend much of my free time playing in the woods or beaches.

I look forward to learning and sharing through this forum.

Welcome aboard. Now please empty your pockets and buy one of everything and save yourself the frustration and hand wringing over which one to buy next.

Welcome and many thanks for choosing a Becker blade....... I will be looking forward to reading your impressions after you get a little "dirt time" with her.............

Thanks again....

Ethan

Welcome to the forum... The BK2 is the gateway Becker for many. Myself included.

Welcome, and congrats on the new BK2.
Nothing more satisfying than customizing you knife and making it your own.

Welcome, and wise purchase on the knife. I'm sure it will look quite different once you start playing around with it.

That is a good choice for the hard use in a landscaping business. My brother in law does much the same thing. It killed me when he would take an original Moran fixed blade and use it for work.

Welcome Don! Nice pick going with the BK2!
I'm anxious to see your choice of scales and sheath.
Keep us posted!

Thanks for the welcome. I am going start stripping the black and figure out something out to etch this weekend.
