Greetings All.

I'm a lurker and occasional poster. I realize that I should have introduced myself first, before posting, but I couldn't find anywhere to do it, even after searching the site, so...

My name is Steve, I'm retired from 7th Special Forces Group, and I'm currently working as a security contractor in support of the GWOT. I've been a knife guy for a long time. I appreciate a well designed, well made, solid knife, so Busses have called to me for quite a while. I met Jerry and bought my first Busse at a gun show in Fayetteville, NC in the early to mid '90s. I've can't remember the year. The knife I bought didn't have a name, it's about 8" overall with a 550 cord-wrapped handle. I have it stored away right now, but I plan to pull it out when I get home next month so I can post a pic to find out some more about it from you experts. I treated myself to a Battle Mistress last month, and I can't wait to get home and get my hands on it. After looking over the forum, I think my next purchase will be a Skinny ASH, but that's down the road a ways. I look forward to expanding my Busse knowledge and getting answers to questions that keep coming to my mind.

Welcome and be careful... Many folks in here used to think a $100.00 Spyderco was a fortune to spend on a knife!

Hello and welcome, Steve!! Looking forward to seeing this early Busse, and pix of you using that Battle Mistress when you get back! :)
Feel free to post those questions and we'll do our best to get you some answers. If we haven't been drinking too much, some of them might even be right!! ;) :D:D

Thank you for your service, and stay safe, brother.

Edited to add: You might find a pic of your early Busse, or of one similar to it on Bad Mojo, which is a Busse model archive of sorts. Lots of good pix in there.

Greetings and welcome to BF and the Busse forum.:) I am sure you will enjoy yourself here. Please post pics of your knives when you have a chance. I am sure we are all looking forward to seeing your old one from the '90's.
Be safe and take it easy there.............

Steven (No chance I will forget your name:p)

Greetings Steve, its good to have another friend from Fayetteville NC here. I am jealous of your Busse collection. I only heard of Busses knives for a little over a year now and ever since I have been impressed by the stories of function and dependability. Although I haven't purchased a Busses yet I plan to when another large knife is released. Anyways Welcome to the forum Steve I look forward to reading your next post and hearing your input. Sorry for the bad grammar I was trying to type this in my phone.

Welcome to the forum. That cord wrapped busse sounds awesome! can't wait to see it. Also, thank you for your service. :)

Steve O. -- Hello and Welcome! And from an old VietNam veteran --- thanks for your service!;)

Steve O., I think the cord wrapped Busse is a counterfeit job. Best send it to me for proper disposal. :D

Thanks for your continuing service!
