I have been reading BladeForums for some time and noticed that some new members have introduced themselves. So here is a man in his fifties, a former bowhunter/archer and a continuing his hobby with martial arts, enjoying outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking. All of these things have led me to value knives and during the last few years also swords.

I have collected several knives and swords in the process.

Folders:

Opinel nr. 9
SOG Flash II
Cold steel Hold Out II
CS Voyager (4 inch) clip point 2011 model
CS Espada G10 large
Benchmade Ambush (gave it to my son)
Benchmade H2O (very handy in water activities)
CRKT M4-02 (my semi-gentlemanly office knife)

Fixed blade:

Kullervo-puukko (Yes, I live in Finland). This is a very high quality traditional Finnish knife.
Semi-custom Roselli long hunter. A good camp knife, Roselli hunter handle with a "Leuku" blade.
CS Trailmaster bowie

Swords and other historical weapons. I practise historical fencing.

Hanwei-Tinker longsword, sharp.
Hanwei-Tinker Normann, sharp.
Pavel Moc Durrer longsword, blunt.
Darkwood Armory basket hilt, blunt.

Welcome to bladeforums.
I'm not an avid posted but one heck of a lurker. I've gained a wealth of information from this site and have found that the majority of people here demonstrate good manners when posting.
Enjoy yourself and remember to search for a topic before creating a thread as many of the more common subjects have been discussed here several times already.

Thank's everyone. I am going on a hiking trip in Croatia in a week. Most likely I will have with me an Opinel (small and non-agressive looking not to freak out anyone) and a 4 inch Voyager, just in case a more sturdy blade is needed. Can't wait for the trip! Suggestions about other gear are wellcome. Of course first aid kit, compass and so forth will be needed. I am going to make a small package that will contain essentials.

Just to show what I have been tinkering with lately. Quess I am one of those people that just can't leave things as they were.
