This is the prototype of a model I call the Airambit,This is a variant of minimalist theme I started when I designed the Vertabrae. The original design was on paper. But since Blade Show 08,I'm designing all on CAD.After building this one,I've got a few tweaks to do on my drawing.:D

Looks great! Often folding kerambits have a blade that looks too small because it has to fold before the hole, but your's looks nice and proportioned. Seems nice and light

Rich,Thanks Bro.Hopefully this design will appeal to people that ordinarally would'nt consider buying a folding karambit. It is real light & easy to manipulate for SD purposes,Yet cool looking for carrying as a EDC.

I looks practical for sure and it also has the design/gadget factor. Very slick! I'm sue people will dig it!

Here's some shots in the reverse grips,Retracted & extended.
Specs are 6.35" OAL, 4.75" closed. 2.25" S30V blade,1" finger ring.

for the frame, and G-10 scale or carbon fiber? Looks interesting. I work with a guy who uses the Emerson folding Karambit and it seems his interest in that knife is the quick deployment (via the wave feature). Have you thought of maybe having a flip up wave feature (or similiar) on the thumb stud area? Like something that can be used or not used and positioned in the up position or down position by tightening the thumb stud. Anyways looks very nice so far. Thanks for posting pixs of your creations. Bill

Bill,The frame is .095 Ti.The scale material is Ranger green high texture G10.Actually this G-10 is leftover material Emerson Knives used at one time,I bought alot of this from a guy on E-Bay.Very grippy & cool looking!

Finished another new design for the upcoming Blade Show,The Airambit.

My minimal approach to a folding karambit.:D
