The new QUEST, designed by custom knifemaker and TALONITE pioneer Robert Simonich for CUDA/Camillus is the ultimate personal fixed blade knife. The QUEST is crafted of TALONITEÔ, the finest knife blade material available. TALONITE holds a razor edge and will never rust or corrode. It is a revolutionary blade material and a new first from CUDA.

The classic drop point shape of the QUEST is the perfect "user" shape for such an advanced blade material. The ergonomic design and practical profile lend the QUEST to a myriad of work-knife chores like skinning, boning, and light utility work.

TALONITE is an exotic Cobalt-Chromium alloy designed for extreme high stress applications like saw tips, deep earth drills, and high-speed scraper blades.
The impressive cutting power of TALONITE is derived from its unique matrix of Cobalt and Chromium carbides in the primarily Cobalt carrier.

For the ultimate edge-use a QUEST.

Who will have this knife and when???
Will it be out the same time as the Becker's?

James when is Chai getting them???

It's a fine line between "a hobby" and "mental illness".

When is Chai getting them? I'll put an order for a few (how many will depend on the sticker shock factor) when I wander by the Camillus booth at the SHOT Show this coming week, and try to get an estimated time of arival. Estimated times of arrival for new high-tech knife models are notoriously soft.

James, when you do receive pricing information, please do let us know. These look great. Will you be taking orders? Between this and the Beckers, we may need to talk soon!

The pen is mightier than the sword...outside of arm's reach. Modify radius accordingly for rifle.

This will be a very popular knife I think. My Talonite Cetan is probably my favorite overall blade and the one I'd want in ANY survival situation. I noticed in a different thread that Rob says they have to change the name due to it's being already CR'd by Buck.
Too bad, Quest was a good name, but I'm sure a new one will be found to replace it. Rob is very good at names, as well as knives!

Brian,

Camillus gave the Cetan collaboration the name "Quest" vice Rob. Now they've got to find another name.... mmmmm, wonder if they'd go for ______

Since I have not yet managed to delete this extra post, I may as well use it.

Anyone care to explain this:
"You did not complete all required form fields! Remember that only registered users may edit their own posts. Please go back and re-enter."

Think about it!

[Hint: How would a non-registered user have a post to start with?]

Then explain:

"Sorry, but only forum leaders are permitted to delete posts."

versus the first part of this version that then goes on to say the same contradictory thing:
"Only forum leaders (Administrator, Moderator) or the person that posted this message may edit this message (and only registered users may edit/delete posts)
Note: Only forum leaders may delete posts."

...but the Quest name was perfect to match my spinning reel, the Quest Lite from Fin-Nor.

I guess I'll just have to carry one of the other Simonich Talonite knives, I have on order.

Once I get them (the ones not already paid for) I'll be broke anyway.
