I'm really excited to release my new design, the Nakago! Nakago is the Japanese word for sword tang and I feel that the shapes are similar.

I designed this knife shape when I first started knifemaking but never finished it up as it was from an unknown file... I recently found the original and decided to make it happen in top notch steel!

I feel the combination of a useful blade design and simple ergonomics work well together. The blade shape is very much like a Japanese Petty so it will work well in the kitchen or in the field.

CPM-3V Steel! I like the 3V very thin with a hard edge... the edge stability is outstanding and it just keeps on cutting aggressively.

CPM-154 Steel - Another favorite... it was tricky keeping the mill texture that I like along with the hand rubbed finish... but well worth it!

Fantastic Daniel - love the mill finish and the grinds look super clean! Best Jim

I love it. The straight handle and slightly curved blade will no doubt make this model of the most versatile users in its owners' collections. Artistic and highly useful. Nice.

I'm like it! The name is very fitting IMO. And man, that is really cool that your wife makes your sheaths, I've seen you mention that in the past but she really does some great work. Great team, you two ;) Is there a hidden pin near the rear or the handle or is it just the front one? Just curious :D

Daniel, those are very impressive! I now know what my next item might be from you.....lol. Grats on an awesome knife and the sheath makes it a complete package.:D

pretty damn sweet.
I'd like to see jimping just back from the plunge, I think it would improve safety somewhat without compromising the clean lines.

Big thanks everyone! I really appreciate the kind words.

Lorien I always appreciate your contribution... I don't use a lot of jimping in my designs but I really like the idea on this one. I think something around 20 lpi would look good. Thanks!
