Hey everyone, long time lurker, first time poster.

I joined BF about a year ago, looking for advice on a solid folder to use while overseas for a bit. Well, the months came and went, and I'm home again - what was once a one-off search for a singular folder has turned into a full blown obsession!

I'd like to share with you all my haul over the last nine months, as well as thank the EDC III thread, as well as the fine folks in the Hinderer and CRK manufacturer forums for completely destroying any semblance of responsible spending I might have managed while away!

All in all, I'm stoked to finally get to post, and can't wait to get some pocket time with my blades as well as become a part of this great community.

Welcome brother! You sir have an excellent collection. Hope to see you post often in the EDC IV thread.

Welcome back!

That's a nice collection you got going there! 9 months though? JEEZUS!
I'm not much better though:o

Thinking you need a black, orange, and grey Rat-1 next to complete the Ontario folder part of your collection :). Very nice

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the warm welcomes.

I would love to round out the RAT collection too. I was thinking once I finished with the coated blades, I move right into the satin finish? Hahaha, I don't think that's too much though, right?

This whole collection was acquired across those nine months and then opened all at once. I seriously wish I had the foresight to take a photo of the mess of cardboard, shipping tape and USPS envelopes that was left over when it was all said and done.

Wow you had to wait on some of them for 9 months! That had to be tough. How were you able to open the first package with no knife? :applouse:

Seriously, after you opened the first knife, did you use that one to open the rest? Kinda like a early Christmas.

Honestly, I was always a big Sub-Zero fan but friends said I looked more like Johnny Cage, so there ya go!

Yeah, I ordered all these across that time period, and justified as a welcome home present(s) to myself. I used the Koster Scout and the BM 740 (which I had prior to opening everything) to do the majority of the work. That Scout in 3V is a tight little blade!

Welcome aboard JohnnyCage!!!! You have a very well rounded collection going there. Like so many here, right now you have enough knives to last several lifetimes. But, it isn't about being practical now is it?

You certainly have had a good time collecting all of those beautiful folders. Good for you.
