Hello,

my name is Michel and I'm from the german part of Switzerland. I'm retired and I closed my professional career without melancholy and/or major damage ! ;-) Knives are one of my passions and I have been making them for about 3 years now. I have decided to show my stuff here to recieve some feedback not only from my fellow swiss knifemakers, but from all around the world.

The following knives was an attempt to use the same design for two different construction types - one knife with a flat tang and the other one with a hidden tang. The bronze elements are soldered and in addition blind riveted on the flat tang version. The blades are lightly polished - well, I'm not really a fan of polished things, but because of the soldered bronze elements it seemed easier.

Steel: O1
Handles: angelin / olive and bronze,
Overall length: 250mm (9.05")
Blade length: 130mm (5.11")
Thickness: approx. 5.4 mm (0.21")

Sorry about my english, it's not perfect but I would appreciate to read your opinion on my work.

Stay healthy !
Michel

Helvetios ( latin, male, accusatory inflection of helveteus): From the ancient country of Helvetia, or poetically, Switzerland.
So, Helvetios = Man from that region.
And yeah, its a killer album from a splendid band. Love it. Not the origin of that word, tho.

Those knives are absolutely magnificent. The handle looks so comfortable. Welcome, hope I have an opportunity to buy one when I can. Those are shaped so nicely, well done!

Welcome to the forum and thank you for sharing your work. Both knives and sheaths are very well done.
