Hello all, figured I would introduce the Harrison family and our journey into the knife world.

Grew up as a 5th generation North Idahoan and Dad was a logger with machining equipment so I was always making things with him including knives out of scrap steel, wood, whatever I could find. Went into mechanical engineering because I liked the mechanical part and instantly fell in love with the machine shop at the University of Idaho and spent more time there than class it seemed. #stillgraduated

Ventured into the world of aerospace engineering (FAA designee) and manufacturing (CNC machining) and then as our six kids grew up wanted to transfer over some of my manufacturing knowledge to the kids, mainly the three boys, with a product they enjoyed so Harrison Brothers Knives was born and the whole family is in on the action now.

We're just getting started with a classic style fixed blade and having a lot of fun and doing nice quality work with top name materials 100% made in the USA. I'll start a thread documenting our build progress on another sub-forum if that's something that's of interest to all of you. Of course it is- we all love knives :)

All the best, and good luck on your new endeavor. I have been self-employed about 43 years, and it can be a really tough road. It seems those around me that have had family involved have either found it extremely rewarding or extremely frustrating.

Make some great products and stand behind them and you should probably be just fine. Good luck!

(And congrats on living a life where you've followed your passions. it's something far too few people get to do.)

Best of luck with your endeavors!!!!!! Please share it ALL with us!!!!!!
A fellow knife junkie!!!! Looking forward to seeing what you have in the pipeline!!!!

I'd like to see some pics too. My cousin lives in Idaho, Post Falls. If I'm ever out that way I may have to look you up, maybe pick up one of your knives.

Thanks for the warm welcome and kind words. Which sub-forum do you think is best for documenting the knife-build-journey?
