Hello Blade Forums, just wanted to introduce the knives I've started to make. I've made these knives with two simple things in mind, one the fact the typical soldier carrys over 60lbs of gear at one time and I am trying to lighten their load and second, the military motto "one is none, two is one" because of the ultra light weight of these knives they will be an awesome back up to your real steal combat knife, or once it proves itself to you it could be your main carry knife. Here is a link to a youtube video of me doing a durability test on one of the knives I've made. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cXI_0b1Au4 Please check out the pics and descriptions below and let me know what u think.

Ultra light weight tactical knife, made from laminating 6-4 titanium plate and carbon sheet with a super high peel and shear strength apoxy. This 9.25'' knife weighs a mere 2.6 oz alone and about 4 oz with .060 kydex sheath. It has a 4.625'' blade and its 1'' wide and the handle is wrapped with 550 paracord.

I quite like the dagger. Good job.

What kind of titanium are you using and what is it hardened to, please?

Would love to see something small and concealable, maybe 3-3.5 inch blade, 4 inch handle spear point, sharpened swedge. Question is the titanium in the center and the carbon plate on the outside? Wondering if you could do the titanium on the outside with a different steel core that would take a better edge. Like the concept.

to all the questions above its 6-4 titanium and not treated at all, durability wise I posted a youtube link above that shows me beating up one of the knives and holds up really well and even though the edge is not treated seems to hold an ok edge, the titanium is in the center and carbon on the outside and I havent thought about doing a titanium outside with steel core but in the future I going to make a carbon outside with a titanium core but with a steel cutting edge. im working on a folder right now I am really excited about that will have a 3-3.5 inch blade with about a 4'' handle, but jpate yeah I will work on a smaller version fixed blade

Awesome, think it would really excel at a concealed, EDC, self defense/offense knife, light weight, tough, concealable.
