I have just re-discovered my love for knives and decided to begin collecting. The main reason was to build a keepsake treasure trove for my Son to inherit when I pass. I have been browsing the forums for the past couple of days and this seems like a great community to help fuel my rejuvinated addiction!!
A little about me. I am an Air Traffic Controller in the USAF at the rank of MSgt. I have been stationed at 8 different bases to include 2 tours to Balad Iraq. I am currently stationed in England and will soon be moving to Germany. The german knife laws seem way more laxed than the UK ones which is a good thing for my collecting!!
So far I have purchased a few knives.
-EDC is a Gerber F.A.S.T. Folder which has treated me well so far.
-I also bought a Mora utility knife for my bugout bag
Collection knives so far:
-Spyderco 3 pack Bug, Honeybee and Grasshopper (Amazed at how tiny they are!)
-Coldsteel Rajah II (Just because its HUGE!!)
-I have a Yuna Custom on order (15 months to go) Qi 4.1 Type S, Carbon Fibre bolster and Burl of Maka handle in Damasteel
In the meantime I will be lurking and watching for any awesome knives you guys and gals may post!

-A couple of KABAR's
-SOG slim jim
-Kershaw and maybe a Bad Blood Spartan
If you all have any suggestions on definate collection additions please let me know....and any tips/words of wisdom for a noob about the big awesome blade collecting universe would be appreciated.
