Introduction

I carry some Benchmade folders, but I mostly use fillet/skinning knives as I do a lot of hunting and offshore fishing. I am actually in the market for a new fillet knife to fillet tuna, wahoo, etc.

Also, does anyone have any experience with Mcusta knives? Looking at picking one up and having a fillet knife made.

Thanks. Hopefully I can learn somethings not only about knives, but also about forging and blade steel characteristics.

Welcome captainsb965 !!!!!!
You've come to the right place to look for knives :D
Go take a gander at the knife makers forum. There's a lot of good makers here that are willing to answer questions
I have two fillet knives from Big Chris, one 7" and one 9" in S30V. I like them a lot.

Thanks! I also think they look good, but unsure on how popular they were.
