Newbie here. :)
Gentlemen, first I would like to thank you all the useful information! I always have been fond of knives, but I just realised my lack of knowledge when I found Bladeforums.com. I learnt a lot from you guys, this place is not only educative, but also a lot of fun!

I owned many knives before, but those were mainly cheap knock-offs, and some mediocre ones (Aitors, Kalashnikov bayonets, SAKs, Gerbers). I'm not a collector, but a serious (abusive? :footinmou ) user, so recently I only use the following 3 blades: a Leatherman Micra, a Cuda quik-action and a Buck Strider Solution. I'm totally happy with these, but I feel the need of buying some more. I know, it's all downhill for me. :D

I felt it is time to join in the conversation after all those lurking.
 
Hey welcome. I know all about lurking, im here every day but i find i dont have any knowledge so i just keep my mouth shut and eyes open, you'll find that anyone with knowledge here will freely share it with you.

Welcome to the forums. I mostly lurk around myself and absorb all I can. Most of my recent purchases are all because of the info Ive gotten here. No decent Knife shops in my area so Im not able to fondle before I buy. I can Tell you there are some really knowledgeable gentlemen on these forums
