The Blue Angels rock

! We actually got them to come to our Freedom Festival two years in a row, which i hear almost never happens. However, they were amazing to watch, and I didn't even go down to the river front. Their turn arounds were awesome enough

Those guys are really cool. Even when they aren't putting on part of the show as they turn around, they do some pretty fancy tricks over the city so that everyone can enjoy them.
A quick funny story on how the Blue Angels and other large WWII planes caused me to laugh very hard at my wife's ranting. The house my wife and I bought sits in a little cookie-cutter neighborhood fairly close to the airport. It's a small airport, so generally you don't notice the puddle jumpers coming in and taking off that much from inside the house. Well, my wife to be at the time did not know this. We bought the house in April, and I moved right in. She had graduated college out of state and moved back home in May. The Freedom Fest is at the end of June. I get a call from her at work nearly in tears the week of the activity.
"Jaker (her term of endearment for me), I think we made a bad choice buying this house. The planes are going over head and rattling the walls! The plates in the cabinets are shaking! What are we going to do!!?"
"Honey....what week is it?"
".... Ohhhhhhhh!"
"Yeah, those are B-52 bombers and fighter jets flying into the airport and turning around. They'll be gone by the end of the week, hun."
I still tease her to this day about that one
