Hey guys, was thinking about picking up a stainless steel investigator pen, and I'm looking for some opinions on it. Also, I'm wondering if the steel will rust or anything like that. Thanks

They are very nice, on the smaller side but still quite useful. It is quality stainless steel, it won't rust. There are also other choices such as copper, brass, titanium and aluminum.

I bought the aluminum first but I prefer the heft of the copper. If the stainless is close in weight, I would have no problem ordering one of those.

I gave my Two younger Sons Investigator pens (aluminum) for Christmas.
I would imagine the added "Heft" of the stainless steel would give them a nice substantial feel in hand.
VERY nice EDC pens. Great pen as well as conversation piece, would not worry about a corrosion issue at all.

Love my Investigators.

Have both the Allum and SS. The Allum is quite a bit lighter in weight. I usually alternative between the two. Love them!

I have a stainless steel investigator. It's 'hefty" in feel, but because the pen is so small, not's not 'heavy,' so it sits in a shirt or pants pocket well. I LOVE the pen.

I just ordered a SS model from GPKnives yesterday. I think I may have got the last one they had.

I have the flamed titanium investigator pen and carry it every day, I love the size and of course the look of the titanium. I get tons of compliments on it and always the question "how much" followed by cringing faces :D

Ahhh yes, the ol' "cring face" like we just told them we backed into their GrandMa.

Nice pens, ALL

Once people understand how truly limited each Hinderer item is, it becomes a little easier for those "outside the know" to be more understanding of MSRP.

I have the titanium extreme duty pen and it is great. Can't speak to the others, but I can't imagine you'd go wrong with anything from Hinderer

I prefer the heavier weight of the SS model just feels right in my small fat paws. Also, no rust problems at all as I go to sea for a living and this pen has been soaked with saltwater. Highly reccomend! I'm nOw looking for the brass one. Wish Hinderer would consider a mechanical pencil to go along with the pen.

I got my SS Investigator last Thursday and really like it. It's small, but not to small and feels really good in my hand. I'm looking at getting an aluminum one next.
