Hello all. I have seen some Internet threads and videos pop up with mistakes here and there. I make them too, but thought I'd start a thread where people can comment and post what they might like to add.
Ok, here goes.
The Hinderer Investigator pen.
A very handy little pen powered by a Fisher pressurized ink cartridge. The pens are quality. No doubts about it, whatever material you decide on, the pens will serve you well for a very long time.
The Investigator is offered in a few different materials. I'll list them from lowest to greatest MSRP.
The least expensive is the aluminum body Investigator. It is available in blue, green, or black.
Next up is the stainless steel Investigator, it MSRPs for the same cost as the aluminum but is not available in colors, but most often in a bead blasted finish.
The Brass Investigators see a slight increase in price, followed by Copper with an even greater increase in cost.
The most expensive and unique looking of the Investigators is constructed of titanium. These pens are available in plain, bead blasted, blue, bronze or flamed finishes.
The Investigators vary in weight depending on materials with aluminum and titanium being slightly lighter than stainless, brass and copper.
The modular construction allows for the butt-end to be removed and replaced with a (sold separately) optional flat end piece. Removing the bullet end from the back if the pen is necessary for replacing the ink cartridge.
At this time, the bullet end ships installed on the pens, the flat end is the only other option that I know of. The bigger Extreme Duty pen has more options for its butt end.
The Investigator is a fairly small pen, not too small, but definitely needs the pen's cap screwed onto the tail end of the pen when writing any more than a quick note.
