Invitation to Kansas City forumites to see January blade giveaway

As everyone now knows I was lucky to win the January giveaway on the forum submitted by Alan Folts. I think most guys try to submit some sort of "review' of a maker's work upon receipt.
I decided to do something different. I don't know if any fellow Kansas City forumites have ever seen Alan Folts work up close (you know--handle it).
I thought it would be a novel idea for any of the forumites in this area to get together at a designated time and place and meet each other and handle these two creations from Alan. This would serve several great purposes. Placing faces with names on the forum, maybe trade a little, and most importantly let everyone contribute to any review of these works of Alan's.
Whadda ya say guys, anyone want to meet over coffe and rolls or beer and barbeque to see and touch the January giveaway? (P.S. anyone is welcome)-Let's get it set up!

Hmmmm...doesn't sound too bad, count me in, if some of the others decide to show too, otherwise, we can just hang out at the next Front Street show, where I'll more than likely have my Apogee back, and my Reif custom. Also, I'm sure Chad will come along too, theirs also, Bodeen, BH, Daniel Dorn, Dale Reif, Steve45, and others that are somewhat close.

Does sound like a good opportunity for anyone in the surrounding area to get an idea of what the January giveaway by Alan Folts looks like, feels like, etc.. Any interested parties email me and we'll see if we can put something together.

I would be willing go have a cold one and talk some knives. I'll be working at Straight River Knives table at the show on Front street if we are not able to get together before then. Stop by and say hello.
I also hope that T4 can make it down here. It would definately be good to put a face to a name. I believe Video Joe is also in the area, who posts here from time to time.

I'll need to expose some ignorance here, but what is the Front Street Show?
 
I am just north of KC. about and hour. st. joe. let me know what you all work out!

The Front Street show is the local gun / knife show here in Kansas Ciy, MO. You can take I-35 south to I-435 south, then you'll cross the Missouri river and immediately take the firt exit after the bridge. That's the Front St. exit. Then you'll take Front St. right, (west) about 4 blocks to Universal Drive (north) and go to the end of the road, you can't miss it!!! It's just south of 210 Hwy. Where Sam's Town use to be, but on the opposite (south) side of the river.
