The invited makers for the Fisk Micro show 2012 are Mastersmiths Shawn McIntyre and Terry Vandeventer.
The makers are chosen by nomination and voting each year of who the collectors themselves want to see attending the following year so congrats to these two gentlemen.
This should be a good show as both of these Masters are good solid makers that have good business practices.

Great news, Jerry.

Your show is one of the most enjoyable and important knife events around, and there could not be better guys or makers than Shawn and Terry to appear there next year.

G'day Everyone

Well what can I say but thank you. I first met Jerry almost 20 years ago at the ABS School. I was just starting out in knives and new next to nothing(maybe less). Jerry had trouble with his knee even then and was limping a bit. I asked if he had hurt his leg. He said he had a wooden leg and that it was sore some days. Do you know I went around asking the other students if they new Jerry had a wooden leg. Talk about a dumb kid! Well to be a Master Smith invited to Jerry's show 20 years later is a huge honer and I am really looking forward too it. Thanks again everyone.
Cheers Shawn

Thanks everybody!

I have always thought about how great it would be to be invited, voted in as it were, to Jerry's Micro Show. However I really never expected it to happen, considering all of the talent that's out there. This is a genuine honor for me. I spoke with Jerry a last night and reminded him that as we get older, a year passes much more quickly than when we were kids. October will be rolling back around in no time. Time to get to work!

See you there, Shawn!

Cheers,

I am doing great Joe, how you been? Thanks for the welcome. This internet thing seems here to stay so I better get onto it!
I just looked at my post and I meant to say huge honor, a huge honer is a different thing.
Terry you could not be more right. When you are a kid the 3 months summer vacation felt like a year, now a year feels like three months. There are 360 sleeps to go though so no need to panic yet.

Cheers
Shawn
