Help?? I need to sharpen my 110 buck knife. I know that it is to be sharpen on the one side only. This information use to be on the Buck web site but I can not find it now. It was sort of hidden at the buck site. So It would be nice if anyone knew what angle and what kind of stone or tools are needed to sharp it.

Thanks You
Muck

if you look at the edge you should see only one side is sharpened and the coating on the other side goes to the edge and in fact is the edge!!!
if it is other wise you need to send it to buck to re-edge it!!!
if it is not touched on the other side use a lanskly to maintain a
even edge angle !!!
my guess is that it is the angle shown on the buck web site for both side sharping but only on one side
if it is important as it is going to be a collector knife then send it in
other wise as a user: a lansky at about 22 digrees or what ever you chouse
of course one of us would store it for your grand kids...;)

I would agree with Dave. Send it in to Buck for sharpening, or buy a Lansky sharpener... You could also look into the Buck Knives tri hone stone??
Any flat sharpening stone should be O.K. just different grits may be needed.
It wont work with any cross sticks or a carbide type sharpener (klawhorn redi edge)

I forgot to add this coating was discontinued by Buck a few years back they probably dont keep the sharpening info up on the site anymore...
Lansky sharpener will work really good, you can put one of 3 different angles on the blade- whichever you prefer.
I believe the Ionfusion is a pretty steep bevel on the one side... SHARP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
