Stoked! What else can I say? Wife may be leaving me, not due to knives or iPhones, but I'm getting the new iphone!!

Is anyone getting the "plus" one with the really big screen? 90% of the time I use my phone for email or browsing the net. It would be nice to read pdfs once in a while. But if it doesn't fit in a pocket it seems to lose its utility as a device. I don't think one handed operation is all that important to me.

I'm holding off until I can get my mitts on examples in a store. I skip generations of the iPhone. My 4 will become my backup. Also waiting until the Lifeproof case for the 6 is available.

The plus looked too big. I'll use my ipad if I'm reading a lot. The 6 is still way bigger than my current 4s

I skipped the 5. I've always owned otterbox products, but they seem to have gone downhill. I'll probably get a lifeproof when it's out

I bought a Spigen case for my 6 the day before it was officially announced. Now I find I'm not eligible for an upgrade until Oct. 4th.

No biggie, my 64Gb 5 will keep on working just fine until then. I'm getting a 128Gb black/space gray one.

Any one else getting the 128?

I had Otterbox Commuters on a couple of my older phones, but they didn't make one for my Nexus 4, so I had to find the closest I could. I tried the Acase Superleggera Dual Pro, and found it to be not only a great case, but IMO superior to the Otterbox Commuter. Cheaper too, although it doesn't include a screen protector like Otterbox does (but screen protectors are cheap). I know a couple people with Incipio DualPro cases on their phones, and they're very well made too. All the Otterboxes I've had eventually cracked at some weak point (usually near a port/ports).

Iphones have two things that are deal breakers for me
1. I can't change/take out the battery myself
2. I don't buy electronics with proprietary plugs.
I carry short micro and mini usb cords in my bag if I cant use one of those to charge it I ain't buying it!

Crazy some of the prices I've been hearing about. I saw an eBay listing showing the 6 Plus 128Gb with a current bid of $1700! A buddy of mine is looking for 2 and is willing to pay 2 people $500 each to wait in line to get them for him. I like iPhones (currently getting by with my 4yr old 4) but I'm not spending that kind of mark up/extra on a bloody phone! I'll wait a while then probably pick up a 128Gb regular 6.

My 5 will be just fine for a while longer... I'll let all the "hyped up dum prices" go down.. to where they are supposed to be.. then I'll buy a regular 6... I feel like the 6 plus is going to be too big but i'll check it out in the store...

I feel $1000 on a phone is ridiculous... $500 is more reasonable of a price to pay... 128gb isn't worth it for me on a phone.. a tablet sure... but not a phone.. I'd say 32-64gb on a phone should be good enough...

Duces!

I want to get at least a 64Gb. My 4 is 32Gb and I've got little room for any movies. My iPad4 is 64Gb and that too is almost out of room. They fill up so quick with stuff!

And they rape your bank account for extra storage. One reason amongst many I'll never buy an iDevice.

I hear you, it's a no win scenario for me. I'm far from an Apple fanboy. I hate iTunes on a PC, some of the worst software I've EVER used. It always freezes and takes forever to sync, sealed internal battery, non expandable storage, yada yada yada. That said, I've got too many apps to try switching to Android, Android devices be they phones or tablets, have next to no resale value compared to Apple products (at least in my experience), Android devices don't seem as well built, are a lot more buggy due to it's open architecture, and for the most part, Apple is the brand that most 3rd party peripheral product companies manufacture for. They've created an entire new sub category of products from many manufacturers across many industries, all who want to cash in on the Apple experience. Before I got my iPad I was set on getting an Asus Transformer with the docking keyboard but decided to stick with Apple based on many comparisons I read or discussions I had with people.

I've got the Samsung Galaxy Note 3- a very large phone- and it rides fine in my pocket even with an Otterbox. :)

Lifeproof's are tough but kind of suck to use, you have to undo the charge port cover to have anyone hear you on the other end of the phone, and the plug for earplugs has to be unscrewed and the proprietary one from them has to be screwed in before you plug your earplugs or cable in. Big pain in the butt.

I checked out the 6 and 6+ at my local Apple store yesterday and surprisingly I didn't find the 6+ too big. I still can't see myself spending that much $$ on a phone though so will likely go with a 128Gb 6. Then again, who knows, ever since I hit 40 my eyesight ain't what it used to be so I'll definitely appreciate the bigger screen on the 6+.

I also can't understand how is it possible to spend so much money for a phone?
There are a lot of cheaper examples on the market that perform not worse.
