i am getting a new iphone thanks to a upgrade comign my way very soon and would like opinions of these iphone cases i am thinking of buying

i provide picture and youtube links for every case i post

first is the LIFEPROOF case in white, it is completely water - mud - dust - snow proofe with mid range shock proofing and it was a built in screen protector so no stupid sticker screen protectors that get bubbles

then comes the speck might vault which is not water proof but i think can get splashed and be ok again it has a built in screen protector

next is the casemate phantom which i think is the best on shock proofing due to the construction

lastly is the rokform rokbed fuzion which is a frame case made out of machined aluminum and it comes in lots of colors

I use the Rokform, but the plastic one. I have also used a Lifeproof on mine as well. You may still get the oil slick look from the screen protector, and sometimes you get screen feedback issues. Mostly decent for everything else though!

The front and back on the 4 are made of Corning Gorilla Glass. This is genuinely tough stuff. A bit of bumper around the edges is really all you need.

I agree. You really don't want or need to cover the glass. Just wipe it off when it gets smudged and it is perfect. I like the Incipio Feather for a super thin case that gives some grip to the phone.

i see what you mean about the glass but the lifeproof is water proof. i also learned the the spec mightyvault no longer has a screen protector built in but i still want the case because i kind of agree about the glass thing

so right not the only screen protector case is the lifeproof. but what do you guys think about the rokform i like the looks and its made in the usa but compared to the protection some of the other cases like the mightyvault or case-mate phantom it pales

Waterproof just doesn't fit into my thinking but you may do activities that would mean possible submersion. Don't forget that the AppleCare+ extends technical service and warranty out to two years and gives insurance on up to two accidental damages (for $49 bucks a shot).

yeah i am also check out elementcase.com i am really liking what i see there i like the vapor comp r8 and the customizable vapor comp and vapor pro cases

if I want a battery extender case I will get the aqua tek s which also is water dirt and shock proof

My iPhone went for a dive... literally, just the other day. It's part of a product development project I'm working on. It went down in a lifeproof case and came out dry as can be. No problems at all. The touch screen works fine through the case. The ringer switch feature is hard to get to work, but we didn't need it for our purposes. The only reason I can see for a case is if you need water- or dust-proofing. If you need waterproofing the lifeproof case works fine.

Well since it doesn't seem that you need total waterproofedness from what I have read, maybe the Otterbox Defender? Built in screen protector, very shock resistant, mildly water resistant, tough, and the belt holster that comes with it can double as a kickstand. Hope this helps.

I live my lifeproof

hass saved my phone a few times at work

a big one was a 3 ft drop onto the corner of hunk of metal.....it put a nasty gash on the screen protector that is built in. I promise you that the glass would have broken without it there

right now I am using a graft case no screen protector , I really got it for looks it's a black bumper with a white backplate on a white iPhone it looks real cool and got a few people I know real jealous

I dont need a belt harness . I am either going to get a life proof next or a rokform I also like the ballistic hardcore case but it's bulky and i pocket my phone

In my opinion the rokform looks completely impractical, the aluminum wouldn't really provide any shock protection and the strange frame type design leaves many parts exposed to dings and scratches.
i have heard good things about the lifeproof and otter box derenders though!

Have you checked out Trident cases?

I have they are ok, I wish the speck vault still had the built in screen protector I would have got that

I'm not into the sticker protectors

I'm in a similar boat, trying to find a case for a Galaxy Player 5. No luck yet.
I have a Rhino Skin hard case (similar as shown below) for my old PDA, but can't find anything even sort of like it for a Galaxy Player. :(

Anyway, the Rhino Skin is great if you find one to fit your iPhone.
I love the looks of that rokform above, and am going to see if they have something that'll fit my toy.

I have taken my lifeproof swimming, dropped from 6ft
IT IS AWESOME
But expensive, a bit TOO expensive for what you get
