Of course, with enough complaints, a less arrogant company might have followed up on the possibilities and found it much sooner.

Isn't Apple just pointing their finger at ATT and saying how much ATT sucks? I had almost no 3G service on a recent trip from FL to NC. What iPhone variant will Verizon have next year?
 
Verizon will be useing a newer variant, would not make any sense to use an old one. Like with ATT they will use one manufactured for their network.
