IPOD Question

I am new to the world of IPODing, and am having some trouble. I have downloaded some podcasts onto my computer and want to play them in my IPOD. However, I cannot find them in my IPOD. I can see them in ITunes, and have synced ITunes to my IPOD. (They appear in ITunes with all the songs. The genre is set to Podcast.) However, they do not appear anywhere on my IPOD. Any ideas guys?

PS Windows Vista blows. Seriously.
 
I am no expert but you can check if the pod cast is in itunes store mot of them are free and subscribe and download it then it ill show up under podcast other than that I no of no other way ,Not saying their isnt one I just don't know it
 
Plug your IPod into your PC. When the IPod icon appears in the Itunes menu, select it. Then click the Podcast tab. Then select sync and All podcasts or Selected podcasts to do it manually. Then select Apply.

Hope that helps.

Edit: Also, some podcasts can't be synced with some players. You usually get a warning message when this occurs.
 
Its an IPOD Nano. I have tried the "Sync Selected Podcasts" suggestion , and can't find any such command. What I did find, is that there is no way to click and drag the podcast over to the IPOD - unless ITunes is actually playing it at the time. So if I play the podcasts one at a time, I can drag them over there, which is awkward but doable. However: how do I get rid of them afterwards? I am not going to listen to these things over and over, maybe twice at most. So how can I delete them? Cheers guys, and thanks for the help.
 
1. Open iTunes.

2. Go to Edit in upper left > Click on Preferences.

3. Under General > Show > Check off Podcasts.

4. Under Parental Controls > Disable > Uncheck Podcasts if it's checked.

5. Hit OK.

This will make it easy to Sync your podcasts.

To delete a Podcast simply highlight it, right click and hit delete.
