I wouldn't get a Zune yet. The software is buggy. The wireless is also lame. Any song you send to another Zune can be played 3 times. After that, or 3 days, it gets deleted, whichever comes first. Both will play mp3s. I'd stick with the iPod, but you might want to look into other options as well. Creative, iRiver, Toshiba, iAudio for example. Also, the Zune is actually just a repackaged Toshiba Gigabeat. The Zune's upside seems to be it has a nice big, good looking screen for videos.

A few months ago, I bougnt an Archos AV 500 and I am very satisfied.
It reads all kind of video formats, read music has a very large harddrive (100 gig)
and ... It just looks classy :D

A bit bulky though.

Supposedly MS gives Universal media 1$ for every Zune made. that is soem serious BS right there. Just for that I would go with the iPod (for DRM players) or something else. Creative used to have very bad headphone jack issues, which they denied. Maybe the new generation is better? I know I won;t buy one again after the customer service response I got. Cowon is suppose to be pretty good as well.
