Fed's beautiful knife from his father prompted me to see if the Irish had any specific design in edged tools.

Found this link...and surprise...the "seax" (scramasax) design was used in the ..er..16th century. Lovely images here. Not for me, but the historians might enjoy them. (bottom of the page.)

I noticed the Maker was charging an awful lot for historical relevance. 320 pounds? What's that, a 1000 bucks or so? Oh, the skin bag is only 250 pounds, what a relief. The other one is 320.

I'm Scots-Irish myself, but for those prices just call me from Nepal.
