That one is pretty cool, I'm not a fan of the UG knives but there are one or two I could manage to own. :p

I have been meaning to send them a Large Regular to have done with a Scottish theme for a long time but have just never got round to doing it......
 
I like that one a lot. I especially like how it is polished on one side and blasted on the other. Very cool.
 
I like the CGG knives myself; they're really well done but pictures do not do them justice. I do not have any CGG but I do have a UG 21 w/ Tiger's Eye inlay and it is super impressive.
 
Does anyone know how deep the engravings are on a standard CGG sebenza or does it vary?
 
There is no standard cut depth, it will vary from one design to the next. Things like a flat picture engraving or text will be uniform, but many UG knives are cut using various milling bits so will clearly differ.
 
I have and have had tons of CGG/UG, mainly CGG though. All the designs have different cut depths. Most are colored. The colors are very long wearing. They can scuff up after heavy use over the years, but they have always been special to me. Some of my favorites include the Native American, In God We Trust, Stars & Stripes, Moonsong, Straight Ahead for the CGG......... Night Sky, and some others that are nameless for the UG........just to name a few. ALL great designs. I am planning to get more, just have this issue called "funding" or I would have 200 of em....lol.
 
A few of those are my favorite too especially the Native American and Stars and Stripes. I had a small native years ago but sold it. Big mistake. Thanks for the depth clarification. I love the idea of engravings and appreciate many of the customs seen. One day I'll get two or three on my plains. I hope there aren't any problems with trademarks...
 
Interesting design on that one, but it would really only look good on the large! As a proud McEnereny I would pick one up if it were not for that:thumbup:
As for the CGG in general, it depends on the individual knife for me. Most of them are not my favorite but I do have two in my collection.
