Iron Dragon

Looks pretty generic to me, but pretty is as pretty does. Also, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The G10 side looks like classic Emerson, agreed, but the ti side is a show-stopper. Together with the stonewash blade and wicked grind... stunner. EKI knows how to grind a blade, no doubt about it.

I really love the looks of this one, but if it is anywhere near the MSRP I will not even consider it. Would love to see a steel upgrade.

I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time but I think in one of the SHOT show interviews Mr. E. says that it will be available from EKI only so I imagine the listed price is it.

Make it in a liner lock version and I'll buy one without hesitation. I don't like how one side is made of G10 and the other side is metal. Pretty damn ugly IMHO. For me, it's about symmetry.

Nice design, although I've found steel inserts in the lock interface to be sticky. I also like the reliability of washers, this one has ball bearings (more parts to fail).

I love a lot of Emerson's designs but this one is very confusing to me and I hope it's not the beginning of a new trend for EKI. Emerson has always been about performance, reliability and toughness. Bearings represent one more thing to go wrong and seem to defeat the idea of Emerson knives being easily maintained in the field. Similarly, lock inserts are definitely not field serviceable, especially if the lock insert is press fit.

For some reason, Emerson and Strider's framelocks, feel so good in my hand.

I am really digging this! I always thought the CQC-7 would be my first Emerson, I may have to reconsider that now. Not big on the idea of bearings in an Emerson but I am not apposed to it either.

I believe they will be available outside of EKI, it is already on GP as "coming soon"
