Since I got David Rice's Metal Muncher press done early Saturday morning I went ahead and put this Damascus knife together to throw in the Iron In The Hat drawing we'll have at the upcoming Hammer-In taking place on April 8th & 9th at my place. I know a few of the people that frequent this forum will be here for the Hammer-In so I thought I'd show a picture of my donation to the Iron In The Hat drawing.
Thank's for looking. Ron

Interesting steel,Ron, and a wonderful knife, of course.... someone's gonna be a happy camper!

I've got an old shoe to throw in, do you think that one legged, fat, blind man will show up this year again, if so do you remember what shoe I need to bring. Never mind I just bring both. :D :D :D :D

I don't think I'll participate this year, pud can't come so she won't be there to draw my name out again. :( Getting those high dollar belts last year was the best dollar I ever spent. :D :D

nice knife Ron.

Bill

How did you do your name with a solid background and not have it show the blade's weld pattern?

Thanks everyone for the nice comments about the knife.

Bill- That's to bad Pud can't make it to the Hammer-In this year, we'll miss her bubbly personality & smile. As far as the shoes go, bring both of them. Some lucky person will be able to walk in your shoes for a dollar. Maybe some of your good luck will rub of on them. :)

Farmer Phyl- I etch my name in the Damascus after I've ground and heat treated the blade, then just mask off the name with fingernail polish before dunking the blade in Acid to reveal the pattern.

Ron, good looking knife and great job on my press again. My boy can't wait to use it. Tell Terry to bring some of that special aluminum he builds his presses out of...:) :) :)

Dave

Ron, that's a killer knife. I can't wait to take it home! :)

Or, at least have a chance to take it home, that is. See ya in a couple of weeks.

Can we put our names in the hat long distance??? I am glad to see you posting your work again on the forum. I really appreciate being able to see how nice you do make them. Mike

Thanks again guys for all the nice things you've said about this knife.

Mike- Yes anyone can participate in the iron in the hat drawing even if they don't attend the Hammer-In Year before last a guy from Montana won my knife in this drawing. Last year one guy won two knives. chances are $1.00 each with no limit.

Danbo- I'm looking forward to seeing you again at the Hammer-In You just might get lucky this year. LOL

David- I can't wait to see you get some hot metal in the jaws of your new press!!! It'll look like a fire breathing dragon. LOL

Ron

Hi Marty, Well I hope your as lucky this year as you was last. Although I don't think everyone felt that way since you walked away with two knives last year.LOL I would have made a bee line to the Boat if I was in your shoes last year with that kind of luck. :jerkit: See you in a little over a week!!!!
