Iron mountain forge?

I'm very new to this whole sword thing and was wondering if I'm making a decent decision on my first katana. I'm going to use it for mostly decorative purposes but also in case SHTF so it will need to be ready for anything. The price of the mountain forge I'm linking to Is just what I'm looking to spend plus another hundred if need be. Thanks

I have no experience with that sword or company. I would respectfully suggest that if you are in need of a weapon for any kind of self defense scenario a smith and Wesson m&p shield and many used weapons can be purchased for that price. If you want it for the cool factor, welcome aboard. We like swords too.
