Hey everyone this is Mike... IG's apprentice.... figured i havent had enough harassment lately so i'd join this forum and take some of the flak you give IG. So i'll post my first question...I have these strange stones found on martha's vineyard MA. some break open and are filled with powder some are just flat..... but they are magnetic.... any ideas on if these are iron ore or where i could find some information on iron ore?

sound like geodes or thunder eggs? does IG make you eat that butt burner heat treat relish stuff he sent me?:D if so! beteew the two of you farting who the HELL could smell the skunk?

Most likely magnetite which is very common form of iron ore in that location and along most of the eastern seaboard. Unless it's the droppings from an old bloom foundary which is unlikely for Martha's Vineyard. Never found any natural magnetite that was powdery on the inside, that characteristic alone indicates a foundary waste or discard.
How big are the nodules?
The magnetite we find down here in GA is usually smaller than a marble but sometimes as large as a golfball.

Mike IG didn't tell you that he makes his own Gas did he.
when he gets that relish in you and your at the forge or
grinder look behind you
he'll have a bellows there and ready for collection.:D
when he know you better, he'll poke you with it, prompting when to pass gas,,
he get very pushy that way,
just cuff him and tell him to back off a bit..
but be easy,, he's just trying to save money..:D :D :D :D :D

See that Mike, they are going to pick on you too. I can not believe how these people just live to pick on us and especially a nice guy like me.   That doesn't say a bad WORD about anyone.:( :( :(

OK....since you all opened this line of discussion, I'm going to have to bring up to date with the real reason we have a hole in the ozone layer.

Certain foods contain a substance called "Fartigens". They are the natural by product of "Farticles". I haven't been given any, but from what I've heard, George’s relish is loaded with them. Eskimo's are pretty well filled with Farticals also.

The long line fishing fleets have depleted the seas of fish and the tree huggers are chasing the seals so Killer Whales can't get them. These are the natural foods of killer whales and contain anti-farticals. Since the whales can't get their natural food they have turned to Eskimo's to keep them alive. The Eskimos in turn have been feeding the whales relish that they trade Ivory and bone and other parts for. No one is sure who the relish trader is....but he always rides into the sunset on a big fat motorcycle...

Anyway, between the occasional Eskimo and all the relish these whales have been converting to fartigens, it's a wonder there is any ozone layer left at all.

Just keep this in mind when you buy "Parts" from Eskimos. You may be bringing about the end of the world as we now know it. Think of the explosion that could happen if the whales swin through a minefield and cause an explosion. The fartigens could increase the blast to the tenth power!

he tried the gas collection thing on me after he fed me a dish of marsala and beans.... we filled 2 100lb tanks.

So is that why killer whales make those srange crying noises? side effects of relish build ups?:D

IG: to send it to Mad magazine, for the knobby nee contest of course :D

on 2nd thought just pull your pant legs up and take the picture
we really don't need the rest:eek:
small things just don't show up well in pictures anyway:D :D
