Greetings Amigos!
I'd like to take this opportunity to let you all know that Ironstone is closing it's doors as of today, August 12th. I have been offered, and accepted a position with Spyderco at their Spyderco Factory Outlet. I have Ironstone and my home to pack up in the next three weeks as I start work in Colorado on Sept. 5th. I promise to bring all of my Aloha with me and look forward to providing you with the same service that you have learned to expect from me here at Ironstone. I will also be lurking on the new Spyderco Forum at their website. You will know me, of course, by the name Lokelani.
I look forward to this move and new job and hope to be stayinhg in touch with all of you whom I have done business with in the past.
Aloha~
Patti

Let me be the first to wish you well in your move and thank you for your unparallelled service in Hawaii.

Congratulations. Good luck with your move.

Now, for the big question. Any chances of a going-out-of-business sale?

I've had more paper cuts than cuts from knives, but the knives are QUICKLY gaining!

If you need someone to house sit for you in Hawaii while you are gone let me know.

Wow, almost didn't see this thread, welcome back to the mainland, Patti. Thanks for the help in the recent past, sending that special Cricket to me. Good luck with the new job and the move.

Thank you all for your kind words of support. It is much appreciated. It's been a hectic few weeks and I'm not finished yet

I will be packing up the old computer in the next day or so. I will give you all a shout on the new Spyderco forum when I am all settled in Colorado. Colobbfan, I look forward to meeting you at one of your visits to SFO. Dennis, the position of house sitter has already been taken. My daughter (who worked for me at Ironstone) is looking forward to having the house she grew up in all to herself

Everyone stay well and I will catch up with you all soon.
Aloha~

Patti,
What a great addition you are to Spyderco and this forum. Folks, if you have never communicated with this great lady, you are in for a treat. She is the best! Sal, you made a good move.

Patti- I can't say that Colorado is a better place to live than Hawaii is, but, having traveled for years in the (continental)US, I'll say it's the best place with the nicest people you'll find. I'll stop in and say hi too.

IDB in Kona closing is a TRUE trajedy, as I lived less than 2 hours away. My personal little Spyderco treasure trove is no more

I DID get to meet Sal on the last day though, and I stocked up on Spydies while I still could

Good Luck Lokelani! At least now I'll have some familiar faces to greet when I make my pilgrimage to Golden...

Thanx for all of the kind words and encouragement. We think it will be win/win. Patti has all of the "right stuff".

Gene - Thank you, but it was actually all Gail's doing.

Patti'

Welcome to (back?) Colorado.
I'll definitely be looking for you the next time I wander up to Golden.
