After seeing it mentioned on this forum, I purchased an Almite Walker from Ironstone. As requested they sent a catalog (actual just a price list) with the knife. The catalog only has the regular Spyderco fare. The web page only had info to contact Ironstone. How does one find out about these other products?

BTW, I very please with this knife.

I have to agree.....I have been lucky enough to hear about some of their offerings through a friend. Otherwise, how are you supposed to find out?

BTW I absolutely love the Almite Walker.

It's understandable that they don't want to compete with their dealers. I am curious as to what they have.

I thought Ironstone was a dealer. Are they a manufacturer`s rep? Do they sell wholesale to dealers as well as retail to ELUs?

Is their website ever going to appear??

Yes as far as I know they are the factory outlet. Hopefully they will put all of their offerings on their web page. It would particularly be nice to see their exclusives.

The store isn't Ironstone anymore ,it says Spyderco Factory Outlet. It's about 95% Spyderco product, some Chris Reeve knives, and a couple other custom knife makers products. This is not the store that Ironstone used to be, not even any Swiss Army knives.

Greetings. All of you are correct, Ironstone has become Spyderco Factory Outlet (back in June). We sell retail only (sorry Steve) to both walk-in & mail order customers. We're actually right next door to Spyderco, in an old office building we (Spyderco) occupied about a year & a half ago. We also have one of our prototype shops on the building as well as Owen Wood's shop. The intention with SFO was to be able to provide all the ELU's with access to every single knife we have in proudction, as well as to exclusive & discontinued knives. Currently, we have 130+ skus in house-for many dealers, it dosen't make practical business sense to carry all of these. We also carry knives by some Japanese firms as: G. Saki, Moki, Solo, & Masahiro. Outside of our products, we also have a full line of Chris Reeve & handmade knives by Owen Wood & Randall. All of these will be on the web, eventually. We're looking at the first week of Sepetember to "go live". If you have any other ?'s, feel free to email me or Christie here at SFO. (charlieg@mho.net; christied@mho.net)

Just wanted to add my voice to that of Beam and Pillshovel. The Almite Walker is very nice.

Unfortunately, I managed to find a link to a not-yet-working (no longer working?) Ironstone web ordering page; took me through all the steps, but there was no one on the other end. A week later, with no charge on my credit card, I figured it out, and got everything taken care of on the phone.
